Digital Media Designer & Brand Marketing specialist

Growing up I knew that I always wanted to become a designer. I was always interested in designing shirts or pins for my sports teams. Throughout my childhood, I played both softball and basketball which is where my love for design all started. I first began by designing the pins and t-shirts for my softball team to bring and wear to nationals. I did this year after year, from the age of thirteen, and all throughout high school. The biggest honor of all was being able to design our warm-up shirts for the varsity basketball team as well as the senior shirts that myself and my teammates got to wear on our big day. Besides sports, I was recognized by my high school at graduation for designing the new schools logo, which started out as a drawing that I submitted for the academic calendar they send out to students every year.

Aside from my love and passion for design at such a young age, I started growing an interest in photography. My mother started her own photography business and from then on out, I was determined to learn how to work a camera myself. After high school, I decided to pack up my stuff and head out to Buffalo, to attend Daemen College and earn a BFA in Graphic Design.

During my time at Daemen, I was involved in many clubs and organizations, I am a member of Sigma Omega Chi sorority, Club Volleyball, the Campus Activities team, and the Global Programs office graphic designer. Just like in my childhood, my extracurricular activities became the perfect outlet for design. I have designed t-shirts for my sorority and Club Volleyball team.

After taking the screen printing course in college, I put my Entrepreneurship minor to use and began designing, screen printing and selling my own t-shirts. I then invested the money I made from the sales into a study abroad program to the Venice Biennale in Italy. As I had always been inspired by my travels and experiences growing-up, I thought this would be the perfect investment. My life motto is get out and experience the world, and I think that really reflects on the artist that I am today.

Present day, I am in graduate school at the University of South Florida where I am pursing my M.S. in Marketing with plans to graduate December of 2022. So far, my time at USF has taught me a lot about analyzing data and being able to use that to enhance my design work and make it the most effective as possible. I have recently grown the love for social media marketing and have been spending a lot of time experimenting first-hand and reading about social media marketing to educate myself outside of the social media marketing course that I took at USF.
